"Like Charlie Chesterman" is written as a tribute to the late-great Charlie Chesterman, motorcycle-obsessed frontman for the 1980's alternative-roots-rock-punk band Scruffy The Cat. Charlie's incredibly-romantic love songs and playful and mischievous irreverence gave him an almost comic-book hero-like persona for a large generation of fans and musicians alike. All proceeds to benefit the Friends of Charlie Chesterman foundation, and to local music charities.

I want to ride my motorcycle in the rain
I’m gonna' paint my Rickenbacker with my name
I want to sail the ocean blue...
if I could only be with you...
and I won’t leave without you as sure as we began
I want to see the world like Charlie Chesterman
I’m gonna' climb that bridge and write my girl’s name
I’m gonna' stay out late and make you do the same
I need your warm smile and blue eyes
The kind that see through petty lies
And if you’ll take me back, I’ll do it all again
I want to see the world like Charlie Chesterman
Spinning wheels and windy days
Blowing your hair out of place
I won’t leave without you, as sure as we began
I want to see the world like Charlie Chesterman
I’m gonna’ ride my motorcycle in the rain
I’m gonna’ paint my Rickenbacker with my name
I want to sail the ocean blue...
if I could only be with you...
and I won’t leave without you as sure as we began
I want to see the world like Charlie Chesterman
Let’s see the world like Charlie Chesterman
Let’s grip the world like Charlie Chesterman
Tiger, Tiger… You’re burning bright
